Punjab CM goes into quarantine after meeting 2 Covid +ve MLAs

Chandigarh, 29August (Hindustan Ekta) Sushant Bhardwaj Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday has decided to go into 7-day self-quarantine, as per government protocol and the advice of his doctors, after two MLAs who met him in the Vidhan Sabha tested positive for COVID19.Meanwhile at least 30 lawmakers were also tested positiv for coronavirus ahead of the Punjab Legislative Assembly session. However, seven of them have recovered. But a majority of the legislators may not attend the one-day Monsoon session of the Assembly on Friday as they are home quarantined. The Ministry of Civil Aviation allowed airlines to serve pre-packed snacks, meals and beverages on domestic flights and hot meals on international flights. This service was suspended even after domestic flights resumed operations on May 25.India's coronavirus tally rose to 33,87,500 after 77,266 new infections were reported in 24 hours. The country's toll went up by 1,057 to 61,529.

Sports Minister Sandeep Singh announces Rs 5 lakh advance incentive for players qualified in Olympic Games

Chandigarh,24 August (Hindustan Ekta) Youdhveer Singh The Haryana government on Saturday approved a scheme to give an incentive amount of Rs 5 lakhs in advance to players, who have qualified in Olympic and Paralympics Games. The decision was taken to help sportspersons make advance preparations before competitions, news agency ANI reported. The scheme will benefit players preparing for the Olympics 2021.  This is the first time that an incentive amount will be paid in advance. Earlier, an incentive amount of Rs 15 lakh was given to players but after they had participated in Olympics and Paralympics. Minister of State for Sports Sandeep Singh had expressed the need for advance payment as players needed a healthy diet during the preparations, which was little costly. SC dismisses bail plea of Tarn Taran blast accused
