Haryana CM Khattar suspends 6 revenue officials in Gurugram

Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar suspended six revenue officials in the city on Friday, a week after the state government halted all land registries as serious irregularities in the tehsil offices came to light.
The suspended officials were posted in the tehsil offices of Gurugram, Sohna, Badshapur, Manesar and Wazirabad. A spokesperson for the chief minister's office said action has been taken against these officials for violation of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act. The spokesperson also said FIRs would be registered against all these officials.The suspended officials are tehsildar Bansilal and naib tehsildars Dalbir Singh Duggal (Sohna), Hari Krishna (Badshapur), Jai Prakash (Wazirabad), Deshraj Kamboj (Gurugram) and Jagdish (Manesar). 
Charge sheets have been filed against these officials under the Haryana Civil Services Rules. A retired naib tehsildar of Kadipur tehsil, Om Prakash, has also been charge-sheeted for irregularities in registries. Gurugram divisional commissioner Ashok Sangwan has been directed to submit a detailed inquiry report on the officials, who allegedly changed the classification of land in entries from agricultural to non-agricultural to facilitate registration of deeds in violation of the Act. The departments of town and country planning (TCP) and urban local bodies (ULB) have also been directed to conduct internal inquiries regarding no-objection certificates issued by revenue officials and submit a report to the revenue department within two weeks.
