Vaishno devi yatra started again

Chandigarh, 18 August(Hindustan Ekta)

The famous Mata Vaishno Devi temple located in Trikuta Hills of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, has been opened for devotees on Sunday.  After about 5 months, the journey of Mata Vaishno Devi has started again. Maa Vaishno Devi Yatra was stopped from March 18, 2020 due to the corona epidemic.  Now the yatra is going to be resumed again  by Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, many changes have been made in it.

 * Neither tilak nor prasad was received *

 On the first day of the yatra on Sunday, only 100 to 150 devotees reached the temple.  As before, priests inside the Mata Vaishno Devi temple are no longer applying tilak to the devotees nor are offerings being made to the devotees.  Actually the Prasad shops in Katra are also closed now.  Devotees turn their heads and come out.  Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board is taking full care of social distance.

 * Guidelines issued *

 During the yatra, some guidelines have also been issued for the devotees which are required to be followed.  According to the guidelines, only two thousand devotees are allowed to visit daily in the first week.  1900 of which will be from outside Jammu and Kashmir and the remaining 100 from outside the state.  The situation will be reviewed, only then will further decisions be taken.  The special thing is that to reduce the crowd of people at the Yatra registration centers, the yatra was registration will be online only after that the devotees will be allowed to travel.

 Apart from this, devotees will be required to wear masks and download the Arogya Setu App on their mobiles.  Each passenger will be screened at the entry point.  Pregnant women under the age of 10 years and women above 60 years of age have been advised to postpone travel to ensure their safety from corona virus.
